Magaluf is one of the biggest tourist resorts on the island of Mallorca. The resort offers a wealth of entertainment such as water sports, golf, casinos, water parks and a go-kart circuit. It is also the most well known resort on the Costa de Calvia with a well deserved reputation as a haven for those in search of sun, quality beaches and a pulsating nightlife.
Mention Magaluf to a teenager and they will no doubt tell you it's one of the best places to party in the sun.
For years, thousands of young tourists have been coming to Magaluf along with stag and hen parties which, at times have been a big problem for the town.
The resort has a 1km long beach with a new, palm-lined promenade. The image of Magaluf is changing and some of the drab, old hotels have been demolished. It is still however a party town and is popular with the younger generation.
