Places in Spain - Crocodile Park, Torremolinos (Malaga, Andalucia)

Located right in the heart of Torremolinos, the Crocodile Park is a unique experience where you can get real close to these prehistoric carnivores. The Crocodile Park is an excellent day out for all the family. Idealspain visited the park in September 2010.

The entrance to the park is built in the style of an African fortress. The car park is located right outside the front entrance and access from the main road is easy. The Crocodile Park is well signposted.

The park has more than 300 crocodiles from small babies through to large Nile Crocodiles up to 5 metres long. You can also see 'Paco' who is the largest crocodile in Europe at 4.6 metres. He weighs an impressive 600kg and is over 80 years old.

As well as the crocodiles, the Crocodile Park has goats, ducks, turtles, an emu and lots more.

Idealspain verdict
We thought the Crocodile Park was excellent and ideal for a family day out. The park is well organised and very clean. The toilets were spotlessly clean, as was the cafe. The guided tour was very good and very interesting. The animals in the park are obviously very well cared for and respected. The living conditions were very good.
