Talavera la Vieja

The ruins of the Roman temple that stand by the main road and overlooking the reservoir were declared a site of historical and artistic interest in 1931.

The ruins belonged to the Roman settlement of Augustobriga and were moved to their current position before flooding the Valdecanas reservoir.

This was the Temple of Bohonal de Ibor.
