Places in Spain - Conil, Cadiz

Conil is situated on the Atlantic coast of Spain, in the province of Cadiz, in the southern part of Andalucia. Its coastline forms much of the Costa de la luz. It is a typical white village with a long maritime history. Its privileged location, between pine woods and the seashore make it a popular choice for holiday makers. The mild climate of Conil, with over 3200 hours of sunshine annually is a major attraction, as is the local menu, the friendly atmosphere and the variety of activities available.

Take a stroll through the old quarter which has been declared a national monument of historic and artistic interest. You can see the wonderful patios decorated with colourful plants in painted pots. There are also lots of historic monuments worth seeking out. When it comes to sports in this area, you will find sailing, golf, fishing, horse riding and cycling, all backed b the special department set up to promote active, healthy tourism. There are good hotels in Conil as well as small, friendly hostals.
