Located 90km north
of
Barcelona,
within
Catalonia,

town with its 12th
century walls,

During the 18th
and 19th
centuries, Tossa
was a thriving
port, dealing
mainly in cork.
This declined and
tourism took over.
Tossa became a
beautiful place to

had somehow
managed to retain

character.

beaches here, Mar
Grand and La Bauma,
both offering
wonderful
surroundings and
clear water. In
the summer,
without an advance
reservation, it is
almost impossible
to stay here.
