There are ample taxis at Arrecife airport. All are metered and are managed by the local authorities. Taxis wait outside the arrivals hall. Queues can become very long during peak times.
A bus runs from the airport to the city every 30 minutes and the 30 minute journey costs around 1-2€ . The bus runs between 8.30am and 8.00pm.
Lanzarote, Arrecife airport has two terminals. T1 services international flights and T2 has national and inter-island flights.
T1 has departures on the upper floor and arrivals on the lower floor.
Lanzarote airport has all the facilities you might expect in a busy airport. There are cafes and shops, foreign exchange services, ATMs and a selection of duty free shops. Arrecife airport is fully disabled friendly. There is an airport information desk on the departures floor.
There is a VIP Lounge with fax, internet, photocopy and other business services.
There are several car hire companies at Lanzarote airport and prices are relatively low. You can book a car rental for one day or several weeks. Most car rental companies have special discount rates for longer terms.
Both terminals have their own car parks. Parking is available long or short term. Tickets are obtained on arrival. The airport car park operates on a barrier system, take your ticket and park. The first 30 minutes are free so you can just leave the car park using your ticket in the machine on the way out. From 31-60 minutes it is 0.017682 cents per minute and then 0.016844 cents per minute. The daily charge is €10.60 for the first 4 days and then reduced to €8.50 per subsequent day. There are around 1,250 spaces in total.
Arrecife airport handles international flights as well as domestic flights to the other islands in the area.
