Outline
The annual 2010 feria in Fuengirola starts in the first week of October and lasts over a week. Most events take place at the Recinto Feria (Fair ground). Cultural events take place at the Palacio de la Paz and Mass takes place at the Parish Church.

7pm: 34th Horse training competition at Fuengirola bullring - entry free

Saturday October 2nd 2010

5pm: 34th National carriage contest at Fuengirola bullring - entry 3 euros

Sunday October 3rd 2010

10.30am: Pilgrim's Mass in the parish church, Plaza de la Constitucion in honour of our Virgin, Nuestra Senora la Virgen del Roasario Coronada

11am: Departure of the traditional Romeria from the parish church to the feria ground. Arrives at the feria ground approx. 1.30pm. Free paella from one of the casitas. Video below.

Wednesday October 6th 2010

7pm: Solemn Novena Mass in honour of the Virgin. Parish Church. The Virgin will remain on display all day.

9.30pm: Opening speech of the fair by Virginia Rico Jaime and Juan Jose Martin Martin at the Palacio de la Paz.

10.30pm: Grand lighting ceremony of the fairground switched on by the Mayoress of Fuengirola. Video below.

11.00pm: Performance by the Municipal Group of Coros y Danzas de Fuengirola in the Palacio de la Paz. Entrance free.

Thursday October 7th 2010

10.30am: Open air Flamenco Mass in Plaza de la Constitucion. Then Virgin paraded through town. Video below.

In the evening all the ladies wear flamenco dresses. The colour is stunning. See video below.

10.30pm: Perfomances at the Palacio de la Paz. Tickets from 12 euros

Saturday October 9th 2010

5.00pm: 11th Equestrian parade on the feria ground

5.30pm: Bullfighting at the Fuengirola bullring (6 bulls). Tickets 25 - 120 euros

10.30pm: Live performance by Lolita in the Palacio de la Paz. Tickets 17-32 euros.

Sunday October 10th 2010

5.30pm: Bullfight on horseback at Fuengirola bullring. Tickets 25-80 euros.

9.30pm: Youth Night Performances until half past midnight in the Palacio de la Paz - entrance free.

Monday October 11th 2010

6.00pm: Children's Party lots of fun and games at the Palacio de la Paz - entrance free.

Tuesday October 12th 2010

Baturra Mass at the Church of Carmen. A live performance of Asturian folkdance follows at the Plaza Espana.
The mass is dedicated to the Virgen del Pilar (Virgin of the Rock), the patroness of Aragon. The event is organised by the Fuengirola House of Aragon. See video below for highlights.
