Gibraltar has a major problem with space and most of the roads are very narrow. Most are one-way. It is unwise to drive in Gibraltar unless you have to. There is one access into Gibraltar, at the border crossing from Spain. The main road crosses the runway of the airport and delivers you to the start of the town. At the main roundabout, turn left for access to the beaches and Europa Point. Straight-on takes you into the town and to the road that leads to the top of the rock. Turn right for the port and the superstore.

Car Parking
There are very limited parking spaces on the roadside and beware that clampers and towtrucks do operate all the time. Penalties are high. There are a few multi-storey car parks. The easiest being next to the shopping centre. Prices are reasonable. You can pay in Sterling or Pesetas.

Taxis
This is one thing Gibraltar is not short of. All taxis are white and clearly marked. There are plenty of taxi ranks all over town, especially near the border. Bus
There is an adequate bus service to and from the border crossing to all parts of the town. Prices are very reasonable but in the summer the buses are very busy. From the border, catch a No10 bus and buy a return ticket to save 25%. The bus will drop you inthe centre. Catch the same bus back. There are several companies who offer mini-bus tours of the rock: Bland Travel 77012, Calypso Tours 76226, Exchange Travel 76151 and Parodytur 76070.

Air
Gibraltar International Airport lies close to the frontier. It currently handles several flights to London per day along with flights to other destinations worldwide. As well as passenger flights, the airport handles cargo flights and military aircraft. The airport despite being small, is adequate and clean and has all the services you would expect.
