Cruises
may have had the reputation of being for óld people`
in the past but there is nothing further from the truth. Nowadays
there are cruises for everyone, singles, couples, children,
sports fanatics, gays and lesbians and even non-smokers.
Cruise
holidays is now the fastest growing sector of the holiday
industry with more than 9 million people taking to the seas
last year. The average age of first time cruisers was under
40 !
Modern
cruise liners are literally, floating resorts with every manner
of activity to join in with. They are ideally suited for families
and the modern ships have plenty to do for the children including
video rooms, computer rooms, supervised play areas and organised
sports.Singles will feel equally at home on a cruise. You
will have no trouble finding yourself as part of a group and
there will be plenty other people in a similar situation.A
cruise can also be the best way to see a variety of locations
at a reasonable cost. Cruises may seem expensive but you have
to bear in mind that most include flights, meals, accommodation,
activities and some include your excursions. There are also
many bargains to be had with cruises as none wish to set sail
with empty cabins.There
are more than 50 new ships being built over the next four
years which says much about the industry. Modern ships are
built like floating palaces and have every imaginable facility
and attention is paid to detail.
