The Picasso Museum opened in the Aguilar Palace in 1963 and since then the museum has continued to grow with donations from all over the world and from the artist himself. The works date from 1890 to 1967 but the best represented period is that of the artist's childhood and youth: First Communion (1896) and Science and Charity (1897). The Blue Period has the Forsaken Ones, the Woman with the lock of hair and the Madman. From the Pink Period, Portrait of Senora Casals. During his Cubist Period, Head Only. There are also many of his great masterpieces on display. The museum has a most impressive collection of works and a very good library.

The museum can be found on Montcada, 15/17. Tel 933 196 310
